WAYS TO GET INVOLVED AT ELIENA SUPPORT

FINANCIAL DONATIONS

At Eleina Support we accept financial contributions directly as this is an impactful way to support us in helping individuals with intellectual disabilities and developmental challenges. You may donate funds to the through various means, such as one-time donations, monthly or recurring donations, or specific fundraising campaigns. Financial donations will help us sustain and expand our programs, provide necessary resources and support, and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

IN KIND DONATIONS

In addition to financial contributions, Eleina support welcomes in-kind donations of goods or services. This includes donating items such as assistive devices, educational materials, sensory equipment, art supplies, adaptive technology, or other resources that support the specific needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities and developmental challenges. Contact us to inquire about their specific needs and guidelines for in-kind donations.

CORPORATE DONATIONS

Companies have an opportunity to extend their donations through corporate donations. At Eleina Support we believe your donation will come a long way in supporting people having intellectual and developmental disabilities. Financial contributions will provide essential funds to sustain and expand our services at Eleina Support. Also, Employee giving programs are acceptable whereby employees donate a portion of their salary to Eleina Support.

Tutoring and Mentoring

Many individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can benefit from individualized attention and educational support. Volunteering as a tutor or mentor can involve helping with reading, writing, and basic math, or teaching specific skills based on their needs. This can be done one-on-one or in small groups, reach out to Eleina Support and participate in our our tutoring and mentorship programs.

Auxiliary Programs

Feel free to participate in the auxiliary programs offered at Eleina Support. These programs are offered during daytime hours and they focus on enhancing the participant’s physical, cognitive, and social abilities. Some of the activities offered in the auxiliary programs are arts and crafts, life skills training, recreational outings, educational sessions, therapy services, and vocational training. The goal is to promote personal growth, community engagement, and independence.

Host Home Programs

Host home programs provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to live in a supportive family environment. In this program, individuals are matched with carefully selected and trained host families who provide a nurturing and inclusive home setting. Host families offer support and care, including assistance with daily living activities, community participation, and emotional support. This program allows individuals to experience the benefits of a family environment.

Education and Outreach

Educate yourself about intellectual and developmental disabilities, including their causes, challenges, and strengths. Share your knowledge with others through social media, blog posts, articles, or by organizing informational sessions or workshops. Offer to speak at schools, community centers, or organizations to raise awareness and dispel myths and misconceptions about disabilities.
